Products Overview

Manufacturers of various polymer products have constantly tried to find a material that can combine the best of rubber and plastics. The created TPU/TPU thermoplastic polyurethane helped to effectively solve their problem of producing new products at a higher quality level. This polymer has unique technical parameters. Due to this, it has become very popular in many areas of human activity.

The created TPU thermopolyurethane is a well-developed combination of raw materials, which makes it possible to combine the elasticity of natural rubber and the hardness of strong plastic. However, its properties may vary depending on the percentage of the main components in the mixture.

The following can be used as raw materials:
Polyethers. If they predominate in the composition, the resulting material will have increased frost resistance, wear resistance, resistance to hydrolysis, and resistance to microorganisms.
Polyesters. Using them as the basis of a manufactured product will make it possible to increase the tensile strength. In this case, the product will quickly restore its original shape.
Aliphatic isocyanates. A large amount of them in the mixture will increase the degree of plasticity at low temperatures and resistance to ultraviolet radiation.

To produce products from this polymer material, special injection molding machines and round, rectangular or lens-shaped granules are used.

Characteristic

Thermoplastic polyurethane TPU has a number of unique characteristics:

perfectly retains its original shape even under prolonged exposure to negative temperatures;
has high tensile and bending strength;
is able to dampen noise and vibration well;
Possibility of painting in various colors;
increased wear resistance;
high resistance to solvents, acids, alkalis;
can be reinforced with fiberglass;
Recycling is allowed.
